- Grooming and Skincare: Your appearance is something you should always take care of, if you want to be a professional Model. Always come to shoots with clean hair and groomed nails, avoid bright and dark nail paints – choose neutrals so they can match any outfits you have to shoot. Avoid sunburns and major changes in your appearance right before the shoot;
- Understand the Brief: Review the creative brief provided by Photographer or Client. Understand the concept, mood and style of the shoot or certain outfits in particular;
- Communicate: If you have questions or concerns, reach out to Photographer or creative team member to clarify any uncertainties;
- Wardrobe: Carry basic things Models supposed to have for shoots. It includes black and nude heels, black and nude camisoles and shorts, black and blue fitted plain jeans. It’s required for basic styling. The Studio and Clients might have their own but yours will always be more size-appropriate and have to be carried just in case even of won’t be required to use. Some other things can be asked to carry by Clients for styling but mentioned above things are must-haves for Models in India. And always, just always wear skin-colored underwear for shoots so it won’t show under articles of any color;
- Outfit Changes: Be very careful while changing outfits, always try your very best not to brake anything, not to leave any make-up marks. But in the same time, as professional Model, you have to be fast in changing clothes;
- Hair and Makeup: On some photoshoots professional hair and makeup are not provided due to restrictions in budget from Client’s side (though, it’s quite rare). Consider learning doing basic makeup and hairstyles if you don’t already know it;
- Rest and Hydration: Get a good night’s sleep before the shoot and stay hydrated to look your best;
- Professional Behavior and Punctuality: Arrive at the location on time as you never how much getting 1-2 hours late might ruin the team’s schedule. Don’t be rude and stay professional.
